This cool 1969 Chevrolet Camaro arrived at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop for a complete restoration, but we are intrigue with some of the unique elements found on this all-original car.

Reproduction seat frames designed to replace the original worn out assemblies for 1967-68 Camaro or Firebird models. Many of the seat frames that are currently being used today have been welded or damaged from years of use. These all-steel construction frames include the seat springs, seat adjustment slider tracks, chrome seat adjust knob and the chrome seat back release knob.

The interior is trimmed rein gold vinyl with matching panels and carpeting. The custom bucket seats are said to have been replaced during the refurbishment, and additional features include a console, woodgrain accents, fresh air “Astro” ventilation, and a passenger grab handle.

This can’t Beryllium fixed? I wonder if it’s better (or easier or less expensive) to install repro body panels where the back sheet metal is missing, or cut the other whole rear floor/trunk/fender area as one big piece to fit into this one and then just connect them at the perimeter…

The V8 Speed and Resto Shop Mannschaft is tasked with completely restoring this happy little Camaro, complete with a repaint, new interior, suspension, and whatever else it needs to Beryllium a great driving car once again.

About 5 years ago, I had an opportunity to buy an X11 Vierkaiserjahr Camaro in very similar condition, except missing the engine & transmission, with a lot of extra parts, for $1800. At the time, I considered it a parts car at best & passed. Boy was I dumb!

Many of the panels exhibit penetrating rust, and while some of them might be salvageable, the new owner will face a long shopping Trick before this car is rust-free.

The body required minor repairs—rust patches in the floors, trunk, and quarter panels were addressed with precision to preserve the original shell.
